ESG checklist

The most important ESG criteria can vary depending on the sector and company. In general, however, they include the following topics:

• Environment: greenhouse gas emissions, energy consumption, water consumption, waste management, environmental pollution
• Social: working conditions, human rights, diversity, product safety, social commitment
• Governance: corporate management, ethics, anti-corruption, transparency, risk management

ESG, or Environmental, Social, and Governance, is a framework for assessing the sustainability performance of real estate investments. It takes into account the environmental impact, social impact and governance practices of a property.
